Focal
The inspiration for Focal came from two things. First, being the idea of a focal point in a room. The curved soft seating is designed to be sculptural in any space. Secondly, the Irish phrase ‘cúpla focal’, meaning ‘a few words’. This is a nod to our Irish roots but also the exchange of words in passing or sitting to chat. The layout is designed to be open, inviting, and conducive to social interaction.

Meaning family, group, or tribe. This reflects the circular form and campfire feel.

Meaning island. These adaptable stools, poufs and islands can be sprinkled and rearranged in any floor plan.
Flexibility & Customisation
One of the hallmarks of this design is its flexibility. Users can enhance functionality and comfort by adding gently formed back supports to the seating. Additionally, soft conical-shaped stools are thoughtfully dispersed throughout the area, allowing individuals to choose their preferred seating style. This adaptability ensures that the space can be effortlessly reconfigured to meet various needs and adapt to changing circumstances.

● Durability: We emphasised safety and strength by using durable materials and construction to withstand the demands of a busy environment, including hospital applications. Antimicrobial vinyl finishes will be applied to support a hospitals standard of hygiene and infection control.
● Adaptability: The space can be easily reconfigured to accommodate changing needs and circumstances.
● Sustainability: Focal is designed using sustainable and ethically sourced materials. All pieces are manufactured in Ireland, erasing the need for long distance transportation and CO2 emissions.
